BIOGRAPHY of SUZANNE O’BRIEN
Suzanne is originally from Albany, New York. She became interested in painting during high school, and then studied Art at the State University of New York, New Paltz. She later moved to Boston and received a Degree in Art Education from Boston State College. After spending ten years in Boston, she and her husband, Bill, moved to Denmark, Maine. They now reside in Lovell, Maine, and in Nokomis, Florida (near Sarasota) in the winter.
Suzanne always painted in acrylic and oils, but about 25 years ago she became intrigued with watercolor and signed up for some classes. She was instantly “hooked” and has pursued this medium ever since. She has studied under many nationally recognized artists and is a member of the Venice Art Guild (Florida) and the Bridgton (Maine)Art Guild. She has exhibited her work in Maine in Gallery 302, Bridgton, the Lovell Art Gallery, Lovell Design on Exchange St., Portland, the Norway art gallery, and in North Conway, New Hampshire. She also shows her work at the Venice Art Center in Florida.
